About the job:

We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge. We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on a project developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating quests - from concept through design and implementation in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Preparing and maintaining design documentation.
  • Planning and integrating assets required for the creation of the quests.
  • Closely collaborating with other departments to deliver the highest possible quality.
  • Maintaining and iterating on the quality of your quests and fixing reported bugs.
  • Mentoring and supporting Junior Quest Designers in the team.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience working in a Quest or Mission design position, with at least 1 AAA shipped title with strong narrative design elements.
  • Proven high proficiency with writing scenarios, screenplays or short stories.
  • Very high proficiency with visual scripting tools.
  • Experience with game editors and game design tools.
  • Proven ability to effectively work across teams involved in a game development cycle.
  • Passion for playing games, especially RPGs or pen & paper role playing games.
  • Fluent English.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work within a team.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback in a highly iterative environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine and Blueprint scripting skills.
  • Experience with pen & paper role playing systems.
  • Credited work on narrative field for movies, plays or books.
